Bettina Starke

Description
German-born, Bettina Starke has lived in Cambridge since 1971. She trained in Cambridge and at the Central School of Art and Design, London, where she won First Prize in the Johnson Matthey Platinum Competition. Since founding her professional workshop in Cambridge in 1978, Bettina has established a customer following in Europe and the US and became a regular exhibitor both home and abroad.
Bettina's work with silver and high-grade gold alloys incorporates semi-precious and precious stones as well as buffalo horn or pearl. Her design inspirations often arise from chance encounters with textiles or ceramics.
