Description
Whereas bronze is most often used to reproduce a work originally conceived in another medium, Philip Hearsey uses the sand-casting process to create vessel forms that honour and explore the qualities of bronze as a material in its own right.
Solid and heavy, yet graceful in line and remarkable in the vibrancy of patination, forms are pure: primordial in origin; subtle, elegant and seemingly weightless as they draw the eye to become objects of contemplation.
