Noel Betowski

Description
Born in 1952, in Tilbury, Essex, in the immediate vicinity of the docks, Betowski grew up with the sights and sounds of world culture, and journeys. Of Polish and Irish descent (he has spent a little time in both countries) he grew up with a sense of mixed cultures. These early experiences are now the subject of his very recent large paintings, where popular culture symbols and images are linked together with the threads of his own life experiences.
