Primavera's Little Sister

Event Date: 1st November 2010 - 1st November 2011

After fifty years in Cambridge, Primavera is very proud to announce the opening of a sister gallery. The new space, on the corner of Magdalene and Northampton Street, opposite the Folk Museum and close to Kettle's Yard, will be used to showcase some of the finest ceramics in Primavera's collection. Although it is small, it already houses ceramic works by Richard Batterham, Sue Binns, Hans Coper, Mike Dodd, Peter Hayes, Bernard Leach, Dame Lucie Rie, Rupert Spira, Edmund de Waal and many more. The ceramic displays are beautifully complemented by a selection of paintings, clocks by Julian Spencer, jewellery boxes by Peter Mundell, furniture, carpets by Jason Collingwood and glass by Tim Casey and Catherine Hough. It is certainly worth popping by to have a look and like King's Parade, the new gallery contains items from right across the price spectrum. So don't be put off if the first piece you see is beyond your budget, as the artwork (all at artist prices) next to it may be the perfect affordable one for you.
