Association of Contemporary Jewellers Cambridge - Christmas Exhibition 2011
Event Date: 7th October 2011 - 1st February 2012
The Association of Contemporary Jewellers is returning to Primavera for its third annual exhibition with Brigitte Bruun, Lindsay Duff, Karen Faulkner-Dunkley, Katja Fox, Nadine Gereson, Deborah Kelly, Janet Powell, Jutta Robinson, Heather Stowell, Tricia Taylor, Helen West and Liz Willis.
There will be a special viewing attended by the jewellers this week on Friday 7th October, from 5 pm to 6.30 pm, in Primavera's downstairs gallery. We hope to see many of you here to enjoy this exciting and varied selection of work.
Primavera is particularly pleased to welcome back Katja Fox. She has now successfully completed her MA in Metal and has just sold a major piece to the London Metropolitan University for its permanent collection.
Also amongst the exhibitors will be Liz Willis, whose jewellery is inspired by aspects of the landscapes around her while out running. She hand stitches silk threads over silver forms to reflect the colour, texture of little things that catch her eye when travelling at a slower pace through the countryside. For this exhibition, she is including pieces inspired by the colour and movement of the reeds along the Old West River, especially around Pope's Corner at the junction of the River Cam and the River Ouse.
This will also give people the opportunity of viewing Primavera' s exciting new range of glass work by Swedish artist Ebba von Wachenfeldt, fresh from its recent showing at the Cambridge Glass Fair.
